Fractional RF Skin Rejuvenation – Improve Your Skin

Signs of prematurely aged skin appear as loss of skin tone, fine lines, dehydration, poor skin colour and elasticity. Unique equipment has been designed to target cell turnover, hydration, collagen production and wrinkle reduction. One of the specific technologies uses fractional radio frequency and dermal skin needling in the one hand piece. These two modalities harnessed together produce an exceptional improvement in the skin within a month and lasting up to 5 years.

Treating a range of skin concerns including:

  • Skin Tightening
  • Contouring of Jaw Line
  • Wrinkles and Lines
  • Rejuvenation
  • Scarring/Acne Scarring
  • Tightening of Pores
  • Skin Renewal
  • Fine Lines and Laxity around Eyes

How Explore RF and RF Needling Works

The fractional RF technology is an innovative design that treats the target area through rapid penetration of insulated micro-needles without causing extensive damage to the epidermis. Through the action of the micro-needles, a tiny column is created that facilitates healing and brings about a growth factor that develops the mechanism of natural recovery with the effect being similar to that of peeling, but with minimal impact on the epidermis.

At the same time the device emits a high-tensioned RF pulse onto the treatment area. The fractional RF thermolysis occurs in the target area and selectively degenerates the collagen fibres between the superficial dermis and muscle band. The collagen fibres deteriorate promoting the construction of new collagen through a stimulus of the fibroblasts.

Explore Invasive RF:Dermal heating and micro-needling are combined to induce micro-wounds which provide ablation, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, increasing fibroblast activity and health within the skin.

Explore Non-invasive RF: Superficial fractional RF that consists of blunt electrodes that rest on the skin to deliver treatment for epidermal conditions such as skin resurfacing. The remodelling of the collagen leads to clinically discernible improvement in the sagging skin and skin quality; the remodelling of deep dermal collagen (fibrous septae) allows modelling of contours and improvement of the cellulite appearance.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

The number of sessions will depend on the condition of the skin to be treated. On average 2-4 treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart.

Results can be seen immediately but optimal results are seen 2-6 months later.

How Long Will The Results Last?

This will depend on the clients skin condition and lifestyle, but typically the results will last for 3-5 years

Is There Any Down Time?

The skin will be pink but this will only last a few hours. The following day skin may be slightly sensitive but at this stage makeup can be applied, so no need for time off work or activities.

What is Plasma?

Plasma is one of the four fundamental states of matter, while the others are solid, liquid and gas. Unlike these three states of matter plasma does not naturally exist on the earth under normal surface conditions and can only be artificially generated from neutral gases. To put it simply Plasma is generated by adding energy to a gas creating Plasma.

With this technology we can offer Non Surgical Upper and Under Eye Blepharoplasty, Wrinkle Reduction as well as Face and Neck Tightening with results lasting 2-5 years.

Proud to be one of the first of 3 Official Plasmedic therapists in NSW! Plasmedic is an innovative treatment offering Non Surgical Blepharoplasty and Wrinkle Reduction Treatments.

Do I need a consultation?

Yes. We always recommend a consultation. Your Plasmedic Technician will assess and suggest a treatment plan for you.

Does the treatment hurt?

We use a topical numbing cream to help minimise any pain or discomfort as much as possible. Overall our clients tell us the treatment is not that painful. usually the eye or neck area is the most sensitive.

How long will it take to see results?

Results can usually be seen immediately. Result are more noticable once the scabs have fallen off after day 7 and continue to improve for 2-3 months. Results are expected to last 2-5 years depending on the client.

How many treatments will I need?

One treatment is often enough however severity of eyelids or wrinkles and client’s expectations are all taken into account. Some clients may need a 2nd or 3rd treatment. We find the eyelid area usually needs more then one treatment where as wrinkles often only need one treatment. We recommend any extra treatments to be done 2-3 months apart.

How long do results last?

Typically around 2-5 years. Clients results vary depending on diet, lifestyle and the way your skin naturally ages. The treatment can be repeated anytime.

Are there any after effects?

Plasmedic treatments are extremely safe. We always check all contraindications to see if there is any reason you would have an undesired result. Very rarely   reactions to the topical numbing cream, wound healing problems, skin infections, scarring, slight swelling, redness, tingling can occur. Rest assured this is extremely rare and as long as you let us know of any skin problems or health issues and follow our aftercare program you should be fine.

Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will be quite red and mildly swollen. This can last from 1-3 days. The small carbon dots will dry to become small crusts. These crusts must not be picked or scratched off as this will cause scarring.

Once the crusts have fallen off it is essential you use our Plasmedic Healing Gel.
