July 7th, 2019
While we are almost in the middle of winter, let’s spice things up with a fresh and on-trend make up look! At skin Tonics Beauty & Skin Clinic, we are always looking for new trends and techniques to stay up-to-date, especially when it comes to makeup. We look up to professional makeup artists, celebrities and bloggers to reveal new makeup ideas. To help you point in the right direction, we have made a list of some of the top makeup trends for winter 2019.
We are all well aware of how cold winter breeze can dry your skin of its essential moisture, making it look dull and dry. Luckily, this winter is all about dewy, healthy, and illuminated skin. Luminous complexion with minimal makeup has become the ultimate runway makeup trend this year. The sign of natural beauty boom, fresh and radiant skin, has made its comeback. All you have to do is apply your usual primer, foundation, and concealer followed by a spritz of hydrating mist or spray. Voila! You are all set to go. Check out these Hydration Sprays by Jane Iredale to achieve a natural glowing effect that stands out.
Ethereal, glamorous, and eye-catching are a few words to best describe the eye makeup trends for winter 2019. As the temperature starts to fall and days get lazier, it’s time to give your eyes a lively appearance with a touch of glitter. Shimmery eyeshadows are all the rage in makeup trends this winter. Either apply a stroke on your inner eye corners or slather all over your eyelids to make them pop. Build a flattering look with 24-Karat Gold Dust by Jane Iredale. If you want to take your glittery eyes up a notch, try foiled eyeshadow technique. Don’t freak out! It doesn’t refer to aluminium foil from your kitchen supplies. Just use a wet brush to apply 24-Karat Gold Dust and get that metallic, futuristic look. Have fun!
This winter seems to be all about creating a natural and carefree look. Warm, rosy tones of blush have been on the rise to popularity. A touch of coral pink or peach blush is the ideal way to brighten up your complexion and achieve a soft appearance. Apply Jane Iredale’s Pure Pressed Blush or In Touch Cream Blush to the apples of your cheeks and close to your nose to give yourself a natural flush of blush. If you want a bolder statement, apply your blush in 80’s style. Bring it all the way from the apples of your cheeks to your temples.
The classic glossy lips in pink, peach, nude, and berry tones are popping up again this season. Fashion models, celebrities, and makeup artists seem to be obsessed with satin lips, complementing shimmery eyes and dewy complexion. Apart from making you look sexy, these lip glosses keep your lips moisturized and plump. Lip Fixation – Lip Stain/Gloss by Jane Iredale is a full package with lip stain at one end and a slightly tinted lip gloss at the other. No matter if you want to keep it minimal or super glossy, Lip Fixation has it all covered for you. Smudged lips are also a great idea to ramp up neutral look this winter. Apply the lip stain in the centre of your lips and blend outwards to create a “blooming lips” effect.
Good news for those who aren’t so great at applying false lashes, natural lashes are back in the game. Getting full lashes with a few coats of mascara is not only more convenient but also gives a more subtle and soft appearance. Make sure to use multiple layers of good quality volumizing mascara and try to avoid clumping your eyelashes together. Jane Iredale’s PureLash – Lash Extender & Conditioner works wonders to enhance the thickness and length of your eyelashes dramatically. Simply apply a coat of PureLash – Lash Extender & Conditioner followed by your favourite mascara. Or go for our Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara.
