What are Thigh Dimples?

Thigh dimples is dimpled skin on thighs caused by the Cellulite under the skin. These skin dimples can also be on the hips, buttocks, or abdomen. The ratio of thigh dimples is more in women than men because the woman’s body can have more  fatty tissues in these areas than men.

What is Cellulite?

In simple words, Cellulite is the result of subcutaneous fat under the outermost layer of skin. It occurs under the dermis; dermis is the network of connective tissue cells. Fat deposits in the subcutaneous cells and gives a lumpy appearance to the skin. Cellulite also has some other similar names like orange-peel skin, cottage-cheese skin, hail damage, and the mattress phenomenon. Aren’t we just so unkind to ourselves?

Grades of Cellulite:

There are three levels or degrees of Cellulite:

Mild: it varies from 1 to 4 shallow depressions, and the skin looks slightly loose

Moderate: it ranges from 5 to 9 mild depressions, and skin appears moderately loose

Severe: it usually occurs with more than 10 depressions on the skin. Moreover, the skin seems more saggy as well.

Causes of Cellulite:

So, use fresh vegetables instead of processed food and also maintain a healthy diet.  The quality of foods you eat is very important, stay away from junk food, processed foods, dairy, excess meat consumption and sugar. These trigger inflammation in the tissues which can contribute to cellulite.
